Flexible dieting means no food is categorically banned from your life. It doesn't mean eat whatever you want in whatever quantities you feel like. It means we work with total intake, food quality, and timing — without turning specific foods into moral failures. A slice of pizza on Friday isn't a character flaw. A pattern of eating that doesn't support your goals is something we address systematically, not through elimination.
When you're in a calorie deficit, your metabolism adapts — it becomes more efficient, produces less of the hormones that signal satiety, and can slow fat loss over time. A strategic refeed is a planned period of increased calorie intake (typically at or near maintenance) that helps reset these hormones and keeps your metabolism from fully downregulating. It's not a cheat day. It's a programmed metabolic tool. Most coaches don't use them because most coaches don't understand metabolic adaptation. We do.
Because most coaching addresses what you eat without addressing why you eat the way you do. Behavioral patterns around food — stress eating, all-or-nothing thinking, using food as a reward, eating on autopilot — don't change by giving someone a meal plan. They change through deliberate behavioral work. That's the NCI methodology we use. We'll spend as much time on your psychology as your macros — because that's where the real work is.

If you're not training, we'll discuss why and what a starting point might look like. If you are training, we'll integrate your training into your nutrition protocol properly. We don't replace personal trainers — we complement them.
